I want Happiness
I want Happiness
Sun rays trying to
touch the ground through crossing peepal leaves, Water running down on uneven stones
to produce harmonious sounds, and cool breezes passing.
Gautama Buddha sat
under Peepal, preaching to his disciples about the purpose of life.
One King who came to the forest saw Buddha, approached him, and saluted.
Buddha said, “Oh!
King, I could see agony in your
face”.
Hearing this, King replied,
“Buddha, I have wealth, health, luxuries. But, I’m not happy”.
And then he asked
Buddha “I WANT HAPPINESS”
Buddha: I WANT
HAPPINESS, is a boon in which you have to exclude a few traits from your life.
I resemble to Selfishness and boundaries around
yourself, and WANT resembles quantities more than needed. Try to leave these
two traits, and see you are only left with HAPPINESS.
